SILENCE IS NOT GOLDEN; THERE IS NO GREATER AGONY THAN IN AN UNTOLD STORY

Solita was harvesting some wild fruits. She was ecstatic. All she had was memories, for the first time a man had shown warm interest in her. She had never imagined it even in her wildest imagination. A man as him would ever lay his eyes on her and promise to marry her. She could neither talk nor hear. But the man still managed to convince her about his never ending love for her. She could pick five fruits at intervals then spend some time day dreaming of this man. He would marry him, she thought. In thirty minutes or so, the man appeared again riding in his master’s horse. Today he had the opportunity to fulfill his desires. He smiled then walked towards her. Lost in her dreams, she was detached from this world.
“Solita my angel!”Said the man as he forcefully grabbed her hand.
She was scared at first from her facial expression; looking at him innocently. Recording the message he quickly masked his evil intentions and stared at her hand.
“I thought you threw away the bracelet I gave you.” Said the man as he let go her hand.
She could not understand anything. He quickly realized it and started using the fake sign language he used to conquer her heart. Shortly, he grabbed her again and she was frightened. She could not understand anything but she could tell the man was up to no good. She tried screaming but no one could hear her. She hit him in his eyes and ran towards their bamboo hut where she lived with her sister and grandfather. She tripped and fell. The man got hold of her and enjoyed his carnal state against her will. She felt defiled and ran to the river to clean her body.
Back at home her grandfather was very worried about her. He knew that the forest was not a safe place for his granddaughters. He quickly grabbed his gun and ran towards the forest. On his way, he met with Solita. Her face was pale and her eyes were peach.
“What is wrong with you my dear Solita?” Enquired the old man.
He was confused about her state. Never had he seen her that devastated. He quickly covered her with her blanket and let her lay on her bed to relax. Later, her sister arrived from the mansion. Her sister, Becca, had being married by a rich man’s brother who lived in a mansion with him. She came home jovial about seeing her grandfather again. She hugged him warmly and entered the hut to see her sister. She had never seen her sister in such a state too. She was a very protective and caring sister to her.
“Solita, did anyone beat you or rape you?” Asked Becca in despair.
She could not speak with anyone. She could not find strength to express her deprived innocence. She could not bear the agony she felt. She only remained silent. The agony in her untold story burnt inside her. All she felt was vengeance.
